[ 6 ] She has described her wonder for Tom Hanks as a “ love affair ” and watched many of his movies throughout her young person. [ 129 ] [ 6 ] Hollywood actors were never featured in magazines in South Africa so she never knew how celebrated she was until she moved to the United States, [ 6 ] which has been inferred as a factor to her “ down-to-earth ” attitude to fame. [ 130 ] After filming for That Thing You Do! finished, Theron got Hanks ‘ autograph on her script. [ 131 ] She late presented him his Cecil B. DeMille Award in 2020, in which Hanks revealed that he had a reciprocal admiration for Theron ‘s career since the day he met her. Some of Third Eye Blind ‘s third album, Out of the Vein, explores the emotions Jenkins experienced as a result of their separation. Health concerns [edit ]

Theron frequently quips that she has more injuries on sets that are not legal action films ; [ 142 ] however, while filming Æon Flux in Berlin, Theron suffered a herniated disk in her neck, caused by a fall while filming a serial of back handsprings. It required her to wear a neck brace for a month. [ 143 ] Her ovolo ligament tear during The Old Guard when her ovolo catch in another actor ‘s jacket during a crusade fit, which required three operations and six months in a finger brace. [ 144 ] [ 145 ] [ 146 ] There were no major injuries during the film of Atomic Blonde but she broke teeth from jaw clenching [ 147 ] and had dental operating room to remove them : “ I had the removal and I had to put a donor bone in there to heal until I came spinal column, and then I had another surgery to put a metal fuck in there. ” [ 146 ] Outside of natural process films, she had a herniated phonograph record in her lower back as she filmed Tully and besides suffered from a depression-like express, which she theorised was the consequence from the processed food she had to eat for her fictional character ‘s post-natal body. [ 22 ] When promoting Long Shot, she revealed that she laughed so arduous at Borat that her neck locked for five days. [ 149 ] then she added that on the set of Long Shot she “ ended up in the ER “ after knocking her fountainhead against a judiciary behind her when she was putting on stifle pads. [ 149 ]
