Wahbi Khazri ( Arabic : وهبي خزري‎ ; born 8 February 1991 ), is a tunisian external football player presently playing as an attacking midfielder or striker for French Ligue 1 side Saint-Étienne and the Tunisia national team. Trained at SC Bastia from 2004, Khazri made his professional debut there in 2009 and quickly became a potent man of the team with whom he successively experienced the rise of National in Ligue 2 in 2011, then of Ligue 2 in Ligue 1 in 2012. He left Sporting in 2014 and spent two seasons under the colors of the FC Girondins de Bordeaux. In 2016, he tried the experience at Sunderland A.F.C. in the Premier League ; his first base season was average and he was loaned to Stade Rennes during the 2017–2018 fiscal year. His good season in Rennes ( 11 goals in 29 games ) attracted the attention of AS Saint-Étienne, his stream club, which recruited him in July 2018.

Wahbi Khazri is besides the captain of the Tunisia national team, whose jersey he has worn 63 times for 22 goals since 2013 and with which he played the 2018 FIFA World Cup .

Bastia [edit ]

A native of Ajaccio, Khazri started his career with local side Jeunesse Sportive Ajaccio before moving to SC Bastia. He received his first base call up to the senior team for their meet against Amiens SC on 20 February 2009.
