Thomas Zeuthen Kahlenberg ( danish pronunciation : [ ˈkʰɑˀln̩ˌpɛɐ̯ˀ ] ; born 20 March 1983 ) is a danish former football player who played as an attacking midfielder. He started his career with Brøndby IF, winning two danish Superliga championship, and played four seasons at french cabaret Auxerre. He has played 46 games and scored five goals for the Denmark national team, and represented Denmark at the 2004 european Championship, 2010 FIFA World Cup and 2012 european Championship. He was named 2004 danish under-21 Player of the Year .

Brøndby [edit ]
Born in Hvidovre, Denmark, Kahlenberg was fifteen years old when he moved from lower-league club Hvidovre IF to Brøndby. VfL Wolfsburg [edit ]

While playing youth football at Brøndby IF, Kahlenberg played a phone number of games for respective Danish youth national teams on under-17 and under-19 levels from August 1999 to February 2002. [ 170 ] even though Denmark was eliminated in the preliminary group degree, Kahlenberg managed to score three goals in three games, and he was selected for the “ team of the Tournament ”. In April 2003, the senior national team coach Morten Olsen called Kahlenberg to the squad for the first meter. [ 203 ] Four months later on 7 September 2014, Kahlenberg scored his fifth goal for Denmark, in a 2–1 win against Armenia. [ 204 ] The future two years saw him play four more times in the national team ‘s qualify matches, as Denmark failed to qualify for the UEFA Euro 2016 following a 4–3 kill on aggragate. After announcing his retirement from professional football, he moved to coaching. He was hired as a young person coach at HIK in March 2018. [ 207 ] After two years in HIK, on 28 May 2020, Kahlenberg was appointed assistant coach of Denmarks U-16 national team. [ 208 ]
personal life [edit ]
In August 2009, Kahlenberg married his long–term girlfriend, Anne Zeuthen Jensen. [ 2 ] [ 209 ] They have three children, daughters Karla and Alma and son, Max. [ 210 ] In accession to speaking Danish, Kahlenberg speaks German, having learned the speech from school, and french, from his time at Auxerre. [ 2 ] In September 2003, he hired Per Steffensen as his new agent in attempt to move abroad. [ 211 ] He attended Falkonergårdens Gymnasium. [ 212 ] early in his football career, Kahlenberg cursorily earned a fan club called ‘Tommy Crew ‘. [ 213 ] In December 2004, Kahlenberg was in Thailand when amerind Ocean earthquake and tsunami took place, but escaped unharmed. [ 214 ] Throughout his professional football career, he lived in Denmark, France and Germany. [ 215 ] On 5 March 2020, Kahlenberg tested positive for the novel coronavirus disease called COVID-19 during the stream pandemic, after having been infected at a birthday party in Amsterdam. [ 216 ] This forced Brøndby, Lyngby and Ajax to place some of their players and coaches, who had recently met with Kahlenberg, into quarantine. [ 216 ] Kahlenberg described his symptoms as like to a influenza and he was placed in home quarantine. [ 217 ] Peter Madsen, another retire Danish football actor who attended the same Amsterdam birthday party as Kahlenberg, besides tested positive for the coronavirus. [ 218 ] On 12 March, Kahlenberg was declared fully recovered. [ 219 ]
