Raphaël Xavier Varane [ pronunciation? ] ( born 25 April 1993 ) is a french professional football player who plays as a centre-back for Premier League club Manchester United and the France national team. Varane is regarded as one of the best defenders of his generation. [ 4 ] Varane previously played for french club Lens and, ahead of the 2010–11 temper, began training with the aged team and appeared on the terrace in several league matches.
