1902–1911 : institution of the club [edit ]
Members of Beşiktaş JK in 1903 Bereket Gymnastics Club was founded on 3 March 1903 under limited license from the authorities. With football becoming the main sport of the Ottoman Empire around 1910, Beşiktaş members slowly started to give more attention to football.
