Jonathon Patrick Flanagan ( bear 1 January 1993 ) is an english professional football player who plays as a full-back for Danish 1st Division side HB Køge. Flanagan started his career with Liverpool, and has besides played for Burnley, Bolton Wanderers and Rangers. He has played in one full external peer for the England home team, in 2014.

On 15 July 2021, Flanagan joined Danish 1st Division side HB Køge on a loose transplant, signing a biennial deal. [ 40 ] Flanagan was brought to the club by his former Liverpool-teammate, Daniel Agger, who had equitable been appointed director of the danish club. [ 41 ]

Flanagan is eligible to represent both England and the Republic of Ireland. [ 42 ] In May 2011, Flanagan was called up to the England under-19 squad for the first base time, [ 43 ] although he had to withdraw due to a calf injury. [ 44 ] In August 2011, he was named in the probationary squad for England ‘s 2013 Under-21s qualifying matches for the first time. [ 45 ] He made his introduction in the 6–0 win over Azerbaijan. [ 48 ] On 4 June 2014, Flanagan made his England senior debut, replacing Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in the second base half of a friendly against Ecuador in the United States. Flanagan was born in Liverpool, Merseyside. [ 56 ] He is the nephew of former football player Bradley Orr. [ 57 ] Flanagan was arrested after admitting assaulting his girlfriend, Rachael Wall, in Liverpool City Centre on 22 December 2017.
