Kelechi Promise Iheanacho ( bear 3 October 1996 ) is a nigerian professional football player who plays as a forward for Premier League clubhouse Leicester City and the Nigeria national team.

Iheanacho began his elder career at Manchester City during the 2015–16 season. [ 4 ] [ 5 ] [ 6 ] He moved to Leicester City in 2017 for a reported £25 million tip. Iheanacho was separate of the Nigeria team that won the 2013 FIFA U-17 World Cup and the Nigeria U-20 team at the 2015 FIFA U-20 World Cup. Iheanacho was born in Owerri, Imo State. [ 9 ] As a young person, he represented Taye Academy in Owerri, the capital city of Imo. His performances for Nigeria in the 2013 FIFA U-17 World Cup led to interest from clubs in Europe ; teams following his advance included Arsenal, [ 10 ] Sporting CP and Porto. [ 11 ] In December 2012, Iheanacho travelled to England to discuss a move to Manchester City. He signed a pre-contract agreement with the club, stating his captive to formally sign for City on his 18th birthday in October 2014. [ 12 ] In the interim, he returned to Nigeria.
