Something went wrong, please test again later. 2021 has been a rollercoaster class as expected when you support Chelsea. There have been some quite memorable moments over the calendar class. So please sit back, stick the kettle on and enjoy our 2021 awards ! 2022 is closely upon us, and Chelsea fans will hope the new year brings new memories, more wins and most importantly – another trophy or two ! The Blues played 65 matches this calendar year, winning 42 of the ties, three of which won in penalty shootouts. largely under Tuchels predominate after the sack of golf club legend Frank Lampard, the side got 36 uninfected sheets and scored 108 goals for the year.

This is Chelsea. It ‘s never boring or predictable.

Best Goal…

We have been treated to some antic goals over the last year. From Mounts turn and inject against Atletico Madrid to the Ben Chilwell empyreal rocket against Brentford. It is with a grave heart not to grant this award to Kai Havertz and his finish against Man City in the final, but there could n’t be a more deserve achiever than Olivier Giroud ‘s disk overhead kick away against Atletico Madrid .

Giroud ‘s spectacular overhead kick sadly was n’t appreciated american samoa much as we would have liked in the consequence with the peer being played behind closed doors and the goal going to VAR to stop the celebrations in their tracks. The testis bounced into the vent off Mason Mount with the cagey chess match between Tuchel and Diego Simeone being played for a moment of magnificence as he leapt into the air to overhead kick it into the corner

Best Moment…

There have been some incredible moments for Chelsea this year. The annual away win to Tottenham in the Premier League was enjoyable. The Reece James celebration after putting Chelsea 2-0 up away against Arsenal, but there is one moment that has been etched into Chelsea folklore everlastingly. Yep, you ‘ve guessed it – that night in Porto, a certain German rounded the goalkeeper to send us out of dominance. After nine long years of not winning the Champions League, Kai Havertz became an blink of an eye champion. At the age of 21, he will find it hard to recreate that feeling and moment again in his career. A limb moment we wo n’t forget anytime soon .

Mason Mount slipped Havertz through on goal with a cover girl leaden base on balls where the goalkeeper felt he had to come out and challenge, but Havertz found himself with enough distance to control and round him before slotting into the empty net. Yes, I have made myself want to re-watch that goal again, and when I ‘m done writing this prison term, that ‘s good what I will do.

Most Improved Player…

Okay, we know this is the award cipher wants to win. Although it ‘s supposed to celebrate a player coming on leaps and bounds, everyone sees it as an prize for person who used to be pretty folderol. But we insist this is a celebration of the actor we believe has overcome critics and showed huge improvement. Since his arrival to Chelsea, Antonio Rudiger had left many fans worried about his consistency and mistakes in his crippled. But then Thomas Tuchel came through the door and since then, he has gone from being a worry to one of the best defenders in the populace. The no-nonsense defend is a thing Chelsea fans love, with him constantly being front and center of a confrontation with an opponent as he gets that mental edge to take them off their game .

We are now all used to chanting his name as he dives into a tackle or squares off with a player to then walk off with a smile on his expression know he had won that battle. There is no doubt in any Chelsea fans ‘ mind that Rudiger ‘s performances this year warrant a fresh deal. The only question is, should the baseball club should bow down to his contract demands after fair one year of antic form before he turns 29 in March. A especial note goes to Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic, who have been on the receiving end of some criticism from me and other fans in the past. Both have shown great form in 2021, with them getting more involved in goal contributions.

Best win…

This class is aboveboard due to what happened in May. We have a good few to pick from in this class, with Tuchel masterminding wins against Atletico Madrid ( doubly ), Liverpool, Real Madrid and Tottenham along the manner. The three binding to back wins for the blues against Man City and Pep Guardiola, with the obvious pick being the 1-0 acquire in May that got us the Champions League with Chelsea blue ribbons on it again. To do it with the academy lads involved in the gain precisely added a red on top .

Securing the Champions League crown is the most standout moment of 2021 for Chelsea
After a disappoint end to the 2020/21 temper with losses to Leicester in the FA Cup final examination and getting peak four due to the Foxes besides slipping up on the last day, the confidence going into the peer against Man City was n’t at an all-time high, to say the least. It felt like the side had burnt out and stumbled over the line. After suffering a few losses in FA Cup finals and the side losing a bunch of players having that DNA of winning trophy after trophy, the most challenging firearm of silverware constantly seems to be the first one with so many not used to the big moment occasions.
