Hegerberg was born in Molde, [ 3 ] but grew up in Sunndalsøra where she played for Sunndal Fotball along with her older sister Andrine. [ 4 ] In 2007, their syndicate moved to Kolbotn, where the sisters late joined Kolbotn IL. [ 5 ] She made her debut for Kolbotn in 2010.
