According to TuttoMercatoWeb, the scots giants are looking to sign the 21-year-old midfielder on loan in the New Year. Sands was a key player for NYCFC as the Pigeons won their first MLS Cup title earlier in the calendar month .
Sands is one of many youthful american players who could make the move to Europe in January, and Rangers are now apparently tidal bore on signing the prospect, who can play both centre-back and in cardinal midfield .
With seven caps for the USA national team already, Sands is on the path to becoming another quality actor for America, and Rangers could make a go for the child in the come weeks .

As per the report, Rangers could make a loan with an option to buy volunteer for the NYCFC child, with Sands likely to make the motion to Europe in 2022 after establishing himself as one of MLS ’ best players under the age of 23 .
however, City fans on social media are not sold on Sands moving to the Glasgow giants, with supporters claiming that the 21-year-old can do better than a move to Scotland .
