1979 Youth backing [edit ]
The team that won its first backing in 1979.
Argentina did not participate of the first young person championship held in Tunisia. The first base appearance of a national team in an under-20 competition was two years subsequently at the 1979 FIFA World Youth Championship in Tokyo.
