Gabriel dos Santos Magalhães ( portuguese pronunciation : [ ˌɡabɾiˈɛw dus ˈsɐ̃tus mɐɣɐˈʎɐ̃js ], born 19 December 1997 ), known as Gabriel, is a brazilian professional football player who plays as centre-back for Premier League club Arsenal .

Gabriel was born in the Pirituba District of São Paulo. At age 13, Gabriel began his career at Avaí but returned to São Paulo after a week due to homesickness. however, Gabriel reconsidered his decision and returned to Avaí after two weeks, finally going on to earn his first master contract at age 16. [ 2 ] He went on to be part of the team that won promotion to Brasileiro Série A in 2017. [ 3 ]

Gabriel playing for Lille in 2019 On 31 January 2017, Gabriel joined Ligue 1 slope Lille, signing a four and a half-year contract.
