Felipe VI or Philip VI ( spanish : [ feˈlipe ] ; [ c ] Felipe Juan Pablo Alfonso de Todos los Santos de Borbón y Grecia ; born 30 January 1968 ) is the King of Spain. Juan Carlos became King in late November 1975, but no title was conferred on Felipe as heir apparent until 1977, when he was created Prince of Asturias, the traditional title normally held by the successor to the spanish throne.
