/pol/, short for “ Politically Incorrect “, [ 1 ] is a political discussion imageboard on 4chan. [ 2 ] [ 3 ] [ 4 ] The board has been noted for its racist, white supremacist, anti-semitic, misogynous, and transphobic content. [ 7 ] The board serves partially as a “ containment ” area on 4chan : a stead to divert trolls and extremists. [ 1 ] [ 8 ] [ 9 ] /pol/ has been successful in spreading fake news into the mainstream media.
