Mario Gómez García ( german pronunciation : [ ˈmaːʁi̯oː ˈɡɔmɛs ] ; born 10 July 1985 ) is a german erstwhile professional football player who played as a striker. He represented the Germany national team over a menstruation of 11 years between 2007 and 2018. [ 4 ]

Gómez played for VfB Stuttgart II in the Regionalliga Süd in the 2003–04 [ 5 ] and 2004–05 [ 6 ] seasons. He scored six goals in 19 appearances during the 2003–04 season [ 5 ] and 15 goals in 24 appearances in the 2004–05 season. [ 6 ] [ 7 ] On 9 March 2004, Gómez played ten minutes for Stuttgart in the Champions League first knock-out round against Chelsea [ 8 ] and made his debut in the Bundesliga on 8 May, coming on for Imre Szabics in a 2–1 loss to Hamburger SV.
