Shuichi Akai ( 赤井 秀一, Akai Shūichi ), an FBI Agent who is besides known by his aliases Dai Moroboshi ( 諸星 大, Moroboshi Dai ), Subaru Okiya ( 沖矢 昴, Okiya Subaru ) and by his Black Organization Codename Rye ( ライ, Rai ), is a supporting character in the manga and anime franchise Detective Conan .
background
Shuichi is a british American of japanese descent and born in England. When Shuichi was fifteen years old, his founder, Tsutomu Akai, got himself involved in the mangle case of Kohji Haneda and Amanda Hughes and disappeared. In his last message, he instructed his fraught wife Mary and their two sons to hide in Japan. Shuichi, determined to investigate his missing founder ‘s “ incident, ” convinced his mother to let him study in America. After he left Japan, his younger sister Masumi was born. Shuichi did n’t get to meet her until he returned to Japan after seven years in the states, but Shukichi sent him pictures of her. After he had finished school, he joined the FBI .

Shuichi is a tall valet of japanese origin with curtly crinkled hair. His eyes have permanent wave bags underneath them that make him appear sleep-deprived .
personality
Shuichi is a very professional agent. even in personal matters, he remains cool, tied detached, from anyone, but his redeeming value is a great sense of loyalty to anyone he knows. He is a skilled and persistent pursuer and detective, qualities which have labeled him the number one enemy of the Black Organization and earned him the nickname “ silver Bullet ”. James Black describes Shuichi as an invaginate person who does n’t well get close to people and far notes that Shuichi has become evening more closed murder since Akemi ‘s end. Shuichi does n’t often voice what he is thinking and has an insalubrious tendency to prioritize his missions above the emotional wellbeing of his friends, co-workers, family, and love interests. The conflict between his missions and the interests of those he cares about has lead to significant grieve for him and others .
Canon Plot Overview
Shuichi first appear where Conan Professor Agasa and the Detective Boy are going on a Trip to tailed Jodie and Vermouth who is presently disguise as Tomoaki Araide on a Bus where it was hijacked by a two Robbers. Conan realized that robber must have an accomplice in the back row where Shuichi was siting .
